FAQ's

How much does it cost to join the quilt along?  The quilt along is completely free to follow along, the pattern and fabric is purchased separately.

What is the difficulty level of the Petit Rouge Roosters?  Beginner! The roosters are an excellent beginner project that everyone can have success with.

Will the quilt along videos be available to watch later if I can't participate during the quilt along?  Yes!  The videos will always be available to watch at any time on our Youtube Channel.

Where can I find the quilt along videos?  All of the quilt along videos will be published to our Youtube channel.  Make sure to subscribe to our channel so you can be notified as soon as a new video is posted.

What time will the quilt along videos be posted?  11 am MDT.

Can I still participate if I choose to make just one of the roosters?  Yes!  You decide what you want to make from the quilt along.  The Roosters are available for individual purchase as downloads HERE

Which Rooster are we starting with?  You can start with any rooster you'd like!

Do I need to purchase the foundation blocks for the roosters?  The Petit Rouge Foundation blocks are not necessary, however they were made specifically for the roosters.  They can be used to make a complete pieced quilt, placemats, pillow cases, or more.  But you can decide how you would like to use your roosters and if you would like the foundation blocks.

Can I use my own fabric?  Yes absolutely.  Just keep in mind that you will need a WIDE variety for the collage, the more the better!

What is the curated fabric bundle for the roosters?  The Petit Rouge Roosters Collage Fabric bundle is a curated bundle (not designed by Emily) that contains 50 unique pieces of fabric specifically for the roosters.  The bundle can be used to complete all six roosters.

What are the foundation blocks?  The Petit Rouge Foundation Blocks are designed by Emily to be used as the background blocks for the Petit Rouge Roosters.  The designs are pre-printed onto the fabric, ready to be used with no additional piecing or fussy-cutting required.

What type of pattern is the Petit Rouge Roosters?  The Petit Rouge Roosters are a parchment pressing pattern, meaning they are built onto parchment paper and then transferred to a background (like the Petit Rouge Foundation Blocks) when they are finished.

Can I use freezer paper instead of parchment paper?  No!  Freezer paper and parchment paper are two separate products.  Parchment paper is non-stick, which allows you to build your collage onto it's surface.
