Woodlands is my first collage quilt. It looks complicated, but was actually so easy to do! And such fun! Instructions are great and Emily’s YouTube videos are great to help you understand her technique for parchment paper construction of each element. I will definitely be doing more of her patterns!
I do love this woodland creation. But I bite off quite a big task. When I started this not bad but then it gets harder to create the different values in the composition. I have worked with raw edge applique, this just takes some getting used to and personal acceptance of the item I'm working on . It all looks so good faraway and on photos. I still keep pressing along and it will be accomplished one day. I was gifted the cardinal kit I'll be creating that in the future. Look forward to purchasing others.
The pattern was easy to use and I made a wallhanging for my daughter that she loves.
This will be a very big project for me, but looking forward to completing it. Finished the bunny and working on the squirrel now. I'm looking forward to building my skills!

Great as usual
A friend and I made these 6”x 6” mini art pieces. They were so fun and easy to make. It was also great to work (we call it fabric therapy) with a friend.
I have been trying to purchase some beautiful pieces while zi have a job. Retiring at 79 for the third time and looking forward to putting my new found ideas into action.

Although I haven’t started the Woodlands project yet I’m enjoying the progress of my Garden Party. I’m taking my time and enjoying the progress.
Already made the squirrel and now working on the flowers. The ease of using the value system to create the project is incredibly helpful.
