- What do I need to bring for the workshop?
Fabric: the more variety the better! Pieces don’t need to be larger than about an ⅛ of a yard. Make sure that you have a good assortment of values for each color. For example, if you have green fabric that you’ll be using in your project, collect dark, medium and light green fabrics.
Lite Steam a Seam 2 Double-Sided Fusible Web: Please prepare a good assortment of fabric before class so that we can maximize class time working on our projects. I recommend applying SAS to pieces of fabric that are about 4.5” x 6”. Not all fabric will need to be ready to use, but at least enough to begin the project. This type of adhesive is required for use with the "Parchment Pressing" technique. For help in understanding how to prepare fabric, please check out this free video: https://collagequilteracademy.teachable.com/p/shopping-for-fabric
Fabric scissors: I recommend 6” scissors
1/4" Foam Core Board Covered in Felt (this is your work surface): Sold at local craft stores, it should be about 20” square
Parchment Paper (baking paper)
Pins & Pencil
