12 Days of Christmas Tips & Tutorials

This was such a fun quilt to make, and it was even more fun to do it with the community of quilters in the Collage Quilter Academy Facebook group!  But I don't want you to feel left out if you aren't on Facebook, so I've provided the links to the tutorials and tips I provided to the group.

In the first live video tutorial, I provide a demonstration of making the Retro Ornament.

In the second live video tutorial I explain how to sew the blocks together after they've been quilted.

Here is a quick tip for creating a "SAS" tracing-- a helpful way to make some of the details on the Nutcracker.

The final video shows the quilt before I've done the binding, and I answer questions from the live viewers.

Finally, you can watch a brief video about using a perfect mitered binding.

    Hi Emily,
Ive so enjoyed the12 Days of Christmas quilt along! I am at the point where my blocks are quilted and set together. What I´m not sure about is how the sashing gets sown on. I´ve looked at all the tutorials several times and cant find the instructions. If I´ve overlooked it, please let me know where it is. In the last tutorial, you explained about the binding, but the sashing was already applied.
Thanks for your response and for a fun project.

Love these collage quilts and the you tube xessions that I gave seen so far. I have been looking for something Japanese inspired and instead of one large maybe. two smallrr projects for framing later. Do you know where I could finf like. The rising sun with crane in garden with umbrella girl strolling along? Or something else too
