Inspired by French Provencal designs, these one of a kind foundation blocks were drawn by hand and designed by Emily for her new fabric company: Verdant Fabrics.
The six unique designs, named after French towns, are designed to be used as background blocks that mimic a pieced block with additional elements like foliage and florals. The designs are pre-printed onto the block, so no additional fabric is necessary except for the collaged roosters. Blocks can be used as individual projects, like a pillow, or to make a complete quilt.
Block size: 20" x 20"

Each block is pre-printed onto 100% USA-grown, premium cotton and manufactured in South Korea.

Love Emily Taylor's collage techniques and textiles. Her kits are priced very reasonably and contain fabrics of such gorgeous colors and designs, making them hard to resist. (This is a work in progress, as there are 6 panels to fill with roosters, and this is just the first one.)
I just placed them on backgrounds.
I have to decide what I will use them for.
Lots of in joyment gathering the colors
and piecing.
You really have to think about cuts and placement. 😊👍
I love the panels! My project is still a work in progress. You can see I’m still laying out the collage and I haven’t done any appliqué yet. When the project is finished I’ll send an up-dated picture.
These blocks are amazing! The colors are vibrant, design is unique and the fabric is super high quality. This is my work in progress! I 100% recommend Emily Taylor’s products at Collage Quilter. The roosters are Emily’s patterns also! Fun!!
Incredible blocks & pattern. Love these! Such vibrant colors & the detail is amazing. Love everything about these blocks. Great for pillows, table toppers, lap or bigger quilts & gifts too! So lovely.
I purchased the Rooster panels and they are beautiful. They shipped very fast and arrived nicely packaged. The colors are amazing. I look forward to using them. Great customer service!
This fabric is very beautiful! I love the combination of little vignettes, the colors, & composition! Perfection! The hand is very soft and beautiful as well. I’m very impressed with all the fabrics I’ve purchased from The Collage Quilter!
Wow - these are so terrific! I bought 2 complete sets & may need to get one more. They are so delightful to oook at. Perfect fit framing many projects. Roosters of course is one of my favorite. Great for gifts for friends & family. Love these! The detail in the flowers & country look is terrific.
I love these beautiful foundation blocks so much, I decided to buy some more of them to use in future projects. Not sure yet what I'll make, but whatever it ends up being, it will be more beautiful for being on these foundations!
I love the blocks and I’m still working on my collage so hopefully I’ll be able to send you a picture of the completed project soon. It’s still in the works!
I’m still working on my roosters…I have two more to collage and then I’ll be ready to use the beautiful panels that I purchased…I have all six.
My blue fabric bundle is beautiful…the colors provided are lovely.
Thank you for excellent workmanship on patterns and kits. I’m truly enjoying this process.
I have not started the chickens yet but look forward to working on them. I am trying to finish Garden Party quilt first. I want to feel more confident in my ability before I start the Chickens. I am enjoying all your videos and sharing and seeing all the beautiful pictures and projects on the Collage Quilters Academy. I have gotten some of my friends doing collages now so having fun. Thank you for all the beautiful patterns. Sincerely Lynn Ramsey, Payson, AZ.
This fabric is so beautiful. It will frame the chickens and roosters nicely. I love the vibrant colors and can't wait to get started on the chickens. The art work on this fabric really makes the quilt special. Thank you Emily, I really appreciate your wonderful patterns and fabric that will make a wonderful quilt.
I was on the fence about buying these...Would they be what I was hoping for? Answer: YES YES and YES! I am SO glad I went for it, because they are more darling than the photos show. The colors are vibrant and the fabric quality is first class. They are the basis for a collage-story quilt. 100% recommended.
So gorgeous! Best fabric ever. It is so delightful! Had the French provincial look & adds to any project you would want to have “framed”. Great quality fabric - silky feel. Highly recommend.
Beautiful colors and great quality cotton. It's nice to see the French Provence style coming back! I plan to use these blocks separately and in combination with Gras.
My most recent purchase of the background for Petite Rouge was my second purchase. I absolutely loved the colors and feel of the fabric. I did the quikt-a-long but knew I wanted to purchase another set of 6 before they went " out of stock"
This is the prettiest fabric I have seen in a long time! The French provincial look of it is fantastic. These blocks are BIG and so so beautiful. I ordered two sets to make with my granddaughter. I am also making the veggies on one. This is an incredible line of fabrics. So charming & such high quality fabrics. Wonderful! I’m thrilled with how it is progressing!
