The pattern was easy to follow, especially after watching the online tutorial. The advantage over other designs I’ve tried is that Emily shades the patterns so I know where to place the darks and highlights. This makes me successful on the first try. I will definitely use her patterns again!
I enjoyed doing this as I love appliqué and have scraps to do it! I am disappointed in myself that I did not consider the positioning of the acorn high enough (which is a failing of mine). I think partly because I stitched the leaves higher up into the borders than originally planned. I might well redo this one.
Loved the pattern and the challenge.
I find this style of work VERY RELAXING! Normally I quilt blankets, but it’s been fun to do wall hangings
