This collage Red Mushroom art quilt is very special to me. I recently took a hiking trip to Washington State Mount Olympus Rainforest in search of the Red Mushroom because I understand if you find one. It’s good luck. Unfortunately, I never found one, but I have this one to look at every day. My son who lives in Seattle Washington hikes weekly and found one. As you can see I Trapuntoed the mushroom and machine quilted around the background fabric design. This was my first attempt at collage quilt. Not sure I did it quite right, but I may try again with another one of your beautiful creations. Thanks for sharing your creativity.
Some ladies on my quilting group asked if I would teach a fabric collage class. I selected the Mushroom kit for the class. It's a simple pattern, but makes such a cute collage. Fantastic free tutorial online and I bought the kit. The kit was great because, as beginner, my fabric selection was made perfectly for me. I was able to follow along and watch again. I didn't have to dredge up all my fabric scraps and determine value and color, which I little about it. It was for me. My very 1st collage quilt which I will mount on a frame for a picture. I'd call it perfect! And I did it in ONE HOUR! I had plenty of leftover fabric for 3 more same-size mushrooms, just used my background fabric. I purchased her Collage book afterward. It is FANTASTIC. Emily is an excellent teacher, and I highly recommend her book.
This is a great kit. I have made two at this time and have plenty of fabric to make more.

Great customer service. The books go into great detail. Videos are helpful. The fabric that came with the mushroom pattern was complete and abundant. Love this new endeavor.
I mean the pattern looks good and the fabric kit is nice but I haven’t sat down to make the mushroom yet so can’t give a thorough review

I received the two kits I had ordered. I haven't made either yet however the instructions seem very clear and the fabrics are beautiful. I plan on ordering more kits in the near future.

I am very excited to begin the project; it's my first, so as soon as I finish I will share with the group. I am looking forward to doing many more of these projects in the near future. By the way, the video that goes along with this project is excellent!
Loved working on it . The background was too small for the size of the mushroom. I had to buy the small iron to get the pieces to stickl . Loved how it turned out
