I made 2 pillow covers using the Christmas Cardinal and Partridge patterns.. I had a lot of fun doing the collages, picking out all the fabrics and piecing them together. I did have problems with the quilt stitching on my home machine. I bought nonstick needles and very strong variegated quilting thread but my machine did not like the freestyle foot I tried to use. I have always been a hand quilter. Overall, I am pleased with the results!
Thoroughly enjoyed making the cardinal collage. All the others in my quilt group made owls but I was really drawn to the cardinal! One of my friends in my quilting group introduced me to thread painting which was perfect for finishing my cardinal. My daughter-in-law loved it and has asked me to make one for her! Thank you for your beautiful designs that inspire us all!

I’m just saying that this was an excellent way to get started on collage quilting! Almost done and can’t wait to see the finished piece.

It downloaded loaded fine. It’s a great idea but after a day or so became tedious….. so it’s not finished. I maybe the wrong person for this….. loads of different fabrics and probably to small pieces I’ve used. I may have to look at this differently.

I purchased the Cardinal and the mushroom and can hardly wait to get started on them but have to finish other projects firs. Thank you for the ease of printing these two patterns. I will continue to watch for other patterns.
Great fun! Excellent project! The YouTube video to go with this pattern is an expensive “combo class” for a bargain of just the pattern price! The pattern is great. Such fun to make! My grandkids love birds & can’t wait to make it with them too. Love ❤️ this project.
